Rib Lake Elementary School is proud to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. The relentless efforts of students, staff, and leadership has led to success for all students.

The most impactful aspect of RLES is the forging of strong relationships with each and every child that enters our doors while balancing high academic standards. When each child is known and welcomed by name, they feel comfortable in school and have a safe learning environment where they are able to take risks in their learning. Teachers have modeled this behavior by being authentic with their students. They are willing to take risks in their teaching, being willing for a lesson to fail and then be reworked and tried again. This models a growth mindset and demonstrates that any opportunity can help us grow.

Strong relationships also enable educators to tailor instruction to each student's academic needs and areas of interest. RLES sees the importance of having a deep understanding of the academic standards and develops "I Can statements" that allow students to focus their learning on specific objectives.

We have a great school because we have great kids. They are role models for each other and encourage positive, healthy choices. Students take ownership in our school. With the support of their classroom teachers, students have often seen a need, come up with a solution, and presented their idea to the school leadership team. RLES created a system where there is shared leadership for the common vision, Together for Children.
