Located outside of the city of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Tibbets Elementary School serves approximately 400 kindergarten through fifth grade students. As a Certified AVID Elementary school, a Distinguished Project Lead the Way Launch site, and being recognized by the state's Response to Intervention Center for improving student outcomes, the Tibbets staff play an integral role in our student experience. We are committed to ensuring our students are exposed to research based instructional strategies that can be utilized in a variety of curricular areas. We look to integrate hands-on activities that strengthen soft skills, lean into collaborative problem-solving, and promote the development of grit within our students, teaching them to persevere until they are able to find success.
Our goal is to see all students thrive in an environment where they feel supported, yet challenged. We want our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally to move them towards career, college, and life readiness. In order to achieve this goal, our school regularly collaborates with the greater Tibbets community. We have a very supportive parent group and community partnerships that provide nurturing and memorable experiences for our students. Our neighbors and families have a palpable sense of pride about the work being done with our kids. Whether they have students still in our school or not, our Tibbets community members and alumni are part of our greater Tiger family.
