Adams Elementary is a small, Title I school nestled in the center of Logan, Utah at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. Established in 1934, it stands as a monument to public education. With a small, diverse population of students representing cultures worldwide, the committed staff ensures all students are known by name, creating a culture of safety and acceptance.
Staff collaboration is a hallmark of Adams. Our collaboration process began as a directive and is now a standard we can't imagine teaching without. Teachers collaborate with their grade level team, and teams collaborate across grades, including during the weekly Professional Learning Community (PLC) time. Adams Elementary provides 1:1 computer access for all students, allowing for both concentrated practice and time for teachers to work with small groups of students, based on each learner's needs.
We believe in the power of "yet." This means we help students see that any learning challenges they face are temporary, and although they may not understand a concept "yet," they will as they keep trying! Whether related to social, academic, or emotional development, there is power in knowing that it is both acceptable and celebrated to have the opportunity to be challenged in our learning!
Our community is devoted to ALL students learning at high levels. Through helping students develop a growth mindset, strengthen a healthy sense of self, and master the rigorous, essential academic skills they need, the Adams school supports ALL students in becoming successful, productive members of our community. Because of this consistent focus, and the cooperation between parents and the school, our Adams Owls SOAR!
