Home of the Terrell Texans, Terrell Elementary is a low socioeconomic neighborhood school whose goal is to meet every student who enters our doors where they are.Through high expectations, we push our students to exceed at the highest levels academically, socially, and emotionally.

Through modeling, our Texans learn and follow "The Terrell Way." We encourage and expect our students to "A.C.T. like a Texan." This means that they will always be respectful, constantly engaged, and they will take responsibility for their actions. They make this promise to themselves and to each other every morning, and they put it into action daily.

Building relationships with our students is our number one priority. All Terrell Texans are greeted by name by a staff member each morning. We also give complements and words of encouragement. This sets a positive tone for the day. This relational approach at Terrell creates a calm, stable environment, and it also improves outcomes when challenges arise. We also work to form strong relationships with our families. Our Terrell families take pride in their students and our school. We are always so happy to have them on campus for various activities, both during the day and after school.

The staff works together each summer to go over all school systems and makes adjustments so that our Terrell Texans have a safe, healthy, rigorous, and peaceful environment in which the best learning can take place. Our staff is a family, and our students become a part of that family.
