Claude Schools is a single campus district that serves 315 students in the central Texas Panhandle. Situated 20 minutes southeast of Amarillo, we consider ourselves one of the best kept secrets in the state. We have learned that keeping academic expectations high and fostering positive relationships are the keys to our success. Our school is the cornerstone of the community, and much of the culture of Claude revolves around our students and their activities. We pride ourselves on our safe neighborhoods and close-knit community, and we value our multi-generational traditions.
In our classrooms, instruction is based upon high expectations for all students, while providing an individualized classroom experience to meet each student's needs. While the state has set performance standards for our school, Claude teachers push their students beyond those expectations. As a result, each student is challenged to reach his or her full learning potential on a daily basis. These expectations vary from kindergarten students writing independently every day to graduating seniors being workforce or post-secondary ready by earning an industry-based certificate or dual-credit hours.
We recognize that our academic success would not be possible without first developing strong relationships with each of our students and their families. Keeping strong home to school connections truly reinforces the partnership created between our school and our families. We believe that all of Claude Schools' success is rooted in our traditional values and commitment to growth, accountability, and community. Go Mustangs!
