St. John the Apostle Catholic School is a school with cultural diversity set in an urban environment with acreage that facilitates outdoor learning. The faculty provides a caring and nurturing climate that encourages each child to feel safe and able to explore his or her potential. The school believes in a classical mode of education that gives every student the tools needed to succeed in a contemporary world.

Students are held to a high standard with an emphasis on critical thinking skills in all subject areas. Besides excelling in mathematics, science, and English, the students have opportunities to explore the field of fine arts through music and art. Students of all ages are encouraged to develop life-long healthy habits through their physical education classes and sports. One of the strengths of school is forming middle school graduates who are well-rounded students thoroughly prepared to tackle all aspects of high school.

The school adapts well to changing circumstances. During the pandemic, while several schools experienced learning loss, St. John established a virtual presence that provided instruction without losing rigor, gave assessments that gauged authentic progress, and kept the students engaged through a trying time. When students graduate, they cherish their past experiences and feel confident and able to anticipate and navigate new challenges.
