LMES has been a Tennessee Reward School every year since the inception of the award in 2011 for academic achievement with TCAP scores among the top 5% statewide.Classroom instruction is supplemented with a related arts curriculum that includes Music, Library, Art, and Physical Education. Every student also receives instruction in the Science Lab each week with curriculum that ties in with STEM. The very active LMES PTA provides much needed financial and volunteer support which attributes to the ability to serve students with enrichment through related arts.
Our teachers and staff work diligently to reach all students each and every day. Covid has affected learning for two years, and our teachers successfully worked with students to practice social skills and increase academic achievement during the 2021-2022 school year as reflected in our TCAP achievement scores. LMES teachers work collaboratively every day to reach all of our students and strive for all students to reach their potential.
