Situated in the heart of the Washita Valley in South Central Oklahoma, Pauls Valley Junior High serves the rural community of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Our goal is to spread positivity by making sure our students know they matter.
We feel that the foundation of success at our school is the relationships that staff members build with each student. Staff members build relationships by having meaningful conversations with students, attending their school functions, and creating opportunities for students to become engaged in a variety of extracurricular activities. Creating these relationships with our students helps us know their exact needs and how to best meet them academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our relationships are not only with our students, but also our community. A local organization named LOVE PV provides school supplies for each student in our school by using donations from local businesses and churches. Another community partnership we have is a food security program sponsored by the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. We also partnered with the K20 Center to help incorporate college and career readiness, new technology, and teaching strategies. To further prepare students for post secondary education, we offer an event where students and parents can interact with local colleges and training programs.
Our unique relationship with our students and community makes Pauls Valley Junior High an extraordinary learning environment. As we say in our daily announcements, "It's a great day to be a PANTHER!"
