A sense of community permeates beyond the walls of Canfield Village Middle School and embraces every member of its "cardinal family." This past year, CVMS student council members collaborated with the Second Harvest Food Bank to collect and gather over 7,000 pounds of food for local families. With that being said, the middle school was recognized as being one of the top 5 drives in the Youngstown area. The challenge presented itself and Canfield responded. The desire and commitment to bridge the gap between school community and local families in need, beyond classroom walls, is evident within the hearts and minds of CVMS students.

This extension of love and generosity, beyond test scores and academic achievement, from students, staff, and families captures the sense of pride and community which extends beyond books and tests and into the world. This prudence of community and engagement of "every cardinal"' is what makes Canfield Village Middle School a great place to be, learn, and achieve. Such a community, embodies autonomy and gratification within the hearts and minds of all stakeholders for a lifetime. With collaboration and heart, the students, staff, and families at CVMS create a greatness that is unsurpassable.
