At Seaborn Elementary School, we challenge ourselves each day to give the students the best educational experience possible. This mindset is very different than the three R's of the past where only core content dominated the educational scene. The whole child is taken into account and the many different needs they possess. Those needs are addressed through coursework, programming, supports, and extra-curricular offerings.
Seaborn is rooted with excellent teachers and staff that have great curriculum and the technology to use those resources to their potential. In addition, our staff is dedicated to the overall well-being and development of our students. We understand the different backgrounds our students come from and work diligently to meet those diverse needs. With the support of teachers and staff, school wide PBIS has been implemented with tier 1-3 supports. Since PBIS was implemented, our key data points have made changes in the positive direction.
While keeping the whole child in mind, our school has made a strong commitment to exposing our students to non-core classes. Each year, every student will participate in band/music, art, physical education, and technology class. These classes light a fire in many students that otherwise may only been dimly lit with regular curriculum. Our students are very fortunate to have these offerings in a school district of less than 1000 students.
Our staff truly cares about children and the many facets of education. Their passion mixed with a commitment to meet the needs of the whole child is what makes Seaborn Elementary School such a special place.
