At the heart of Lynbrook Schools is the development of a strong sense of community within each of our students. That sense of community is evidenced through our partnerships with the Lynbrook Village, the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, our police and fire departments, local senior centers, and universities that drive individual students, leading to each of our school's success.
Lynbrook High School (LHS) is the culmination of a robust academic program. It has a rich tradition of academic excellence with a strong focus on athletics and the arts, building well-rounded learners. LHS works hard to ensure that students are provided with a supportive and safe environment to learn a curriculum that is personalized and equitable. With less than 900 students, LHS offers unique opportunities to ensure that each student has a sense of belonging. The building's mission is to create graduates who possess a balance of character, ethics, extracurricular interests, a lifelong thirst for knowledge, social awareness, and a mindset to make a positive impact on the world. To ensure this, LHS goes to great lengths to create opportunities for the various stakeholders to have a voice in shared decision-making forums; however, the most important voice belongs to the students. Students feel valued, respected, and are part of all that occurs within the school building and the community daily.
