The cornerstone of our success is based upon the strong personal and professional relationships shared between our staff, our students, and their families. We know that establishing connections within our community builds trust and greater educational success for students. We capitalize on the bonds we create which in turn elevates our expectations. In doing so, students are encouraged to reach their academic goals whether at home or in the classroom.
The outpouring of family support has been strategically curated over time. By welcoming parents into our school, we've witnessed their involvement increase tenfold. Classroom volunteers are ever present throughout our hallways. Chaperones are plentiful for our local and out-of-state field trips. Through joint efforts, we were the first elementary school in our entire District to provide one-to-one computers for our K-5 student population. We have an active Parent Teacher Association that stays current with student needs and supplements classroom assistance and requests. Families have evolved to gain a genuine vested interest in the activities and offerings by our school. They are eager to help their child succeed which is evidenced by our above-district average high stakes test results.
Our staff plays a crucial role in increasing achievement through the collaboration with our students and their families. We invite families to participate in student-led conferences, offer materials and resources for at-home use, and ensure that student's unique strengths and abilities are showcased. Our home-school connections yield positive family partnerships, opportunities for enrichment, and increased student achievement.
