Center Grove Elementary School is affectionately known as a home away from home for students, families, and staff. It has built an environment where student voice and choice are prioritized. Students are provided academic choice not only in product, but in process. Classroom lessons are skillfully developed to capitalize on students' individual learning styles as well as academic needs.
Center Grove celebrates not only individual, but school-wide accomplishments to ensure all students feel valued. At our monthly Friday Finale, a whole school meeting, students share instructional highlights and achievements with the entire school community. The responsibility students share in celebrating each other's hard work is an integral part of making Center Grove feel like home and truly unifies all students.
Using a shared language derived from the 7 Habits of Happy Kids, Center Grove goes beyond academic needs and provides students with the social-emotional tools to persist and proactively set goals. This is supported by staff and families so that students develop a sense of identity while forming healthy relationships with others. We believe these habits are ingrained in every aspect of the school, allowing students to become the best version of themselves. Finally, through detailed communication and school events, Center Grove strives to not only engage families, but partner with them in creating experiences that fit the needs of their children. The ongoing communication between Center Grove and the community shows the commitment to ensuring students, families, and staff have a home away from home.
