Cliffside Park, School #4 - Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow

School 4 educates students from grades K-5. Our unique, culturally diverse environment welcomes students to their first school experience and continues to provide children with an education that meets and exceeds the highest standards of student achievement, curriculum, instruction, community support and professional development. All learners can be reached through multiple instructional approaches, including differentiated instruction for English Language Learners, Enrichment, and Students with Special Needs. Every classroom has 1:1 access to individual computers and instructional technology. Technology is integrated in many of the lessons throughout the day at the teacher's discretion. Both our Science and Math curricula allow students to explore problem based learning where teachers help students tackle critical thinking. Guided Instruction is used throughout all content areas to meet the needs of our diverse population of learners.

School 4 is a place where the home-school connection is extremely important, and Cliffside Park is a close knit community. With the continued help and support of stakeholders, we will stay connected, keeping our students' school experiences strong, valuable and most importantly, meaningful.

When faced with a challenge such as COVID, School 4 stakeholders once again came together. To adapt to remote learning, curriculum, instruction, and assessment were transitioned to online learning platforms. Teachers used document cameras in order to communicate with students through their individual computers.

Cliffside Park School # 4 is a team of highly qualified teachers who are committed and dedicated to creating a safe, educationally sound learning environment. The heart of our curriculum where college and career readiness is a main focus allows School 4 students to achieve success now and in their future endeavors.
