Florence Elementary serves over 500 students in grades 3-5. Our faculty, staff, and students promote an inclusive and safe learning environment for every student as well as high expectations for success. Students are encouraged to set personal goals for academic and personal growth and achievement. They strive to be good citizens who take pride in their school and school culture.
Florence Elementary's mission is every student, every day, whatever it takes! Teachers work to form relationships with students and families as well as the surrounding community to make our school a success. We believe that community and family involvement are essential to the growth and overall success of our school. Family events are hosted often at the school. We encourage parents, grandparents and other community members and organizations to be active in our school through parent nights, book fairs, reading to classes, and providing opportunities often for service.
Our team has learned growth is attained from being intentional, reflective, and focusing on students' individual needs. We are intentional on students' strengths and weaknesses. Our instructional practices must be carefully planned and designed to meet every student's needs, every single day. Teachers promote goal setting and positive feedback for academic and behavior improvement for all students. We believe that acknowledging every student as an individual and tailoring our instruction and teaching practices in that regard makes us a step above the rest. We Focus, Educate, and Soar at Florence Elementary School.
