St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, established in 1886, has an expectation of students that they put forth their very best effort in all that they do. We support and cultivate their mastery of academics, their spiritual growth, and their service to others. For our students to be their best, all staff take a threefold approach (based on the teachings of Christ) that emphasizes student empowerment and support, accountability and discipline, and respectful and trusting relationships. We view parent support and partnership with our staff as the key to fulfilling our mission. Greatness for our students is a natural result of this process.
A culture that strives for excellence does not expect students to be perfectly behaved or demonstrate genius intellect. Instead, our culture calls for students to become the best versions of themselves. We honor this effort in many ways, including our mission recognition award, Arts program, and Science Fair Successes. Many accommodations are made, when necessary, to meet the unique needs of our students. In the rare case that we do not have the resources available to meet a student's needs, we work very hard with families to ensure the most appropriate solution for their child.
