We, the staff at Woods Elementary, are here to serve the students, parents, and community as well as one another.Through teamwork and collaboration, we will put the academic, social, and emotional needs of the child first while providing a safe and supportive learning environment. We will maximize ALL students' potential in the areas of Mind, Body, and Spirit while being positive role models of the six pillars of character. We will utilize research-based teaching strategies and best practices to meet the needs of all students while developing productive life-long learners.

Woods Elementary School, home of the Mighty Wolverines, is an exemplary school serving students in Clovis Unified School District. The teachers, staff, and community are committed to a collaborative culture in which we strive to provide the best educational experience possible for all students.
Highly effective, research-based strategies coupled with social and emotional supports are embraced to maximize ALL students' ability to be the best they can be in mind, body, and spirit. Staff support all students in their pursuit of academic achievement and personal health, and encourage them in their development of intellectual, artistic, physical, and social expression. Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) utilize a data driven decision making process to implement Visible Learning practices, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), iReady Accelerated Learning Pathways, and best practices to meet the needs of all students while developing productive learners.

Students are expected to Give their best effort, show Respect for all, demonstrate Outstanding character, display Wolverine pride, and Lead by example. A rigorous, standards-based educational program challenges and supports every student to believe in themselves and reach their fullest potential. Teachers and staff go above and beyond to establish meaningful relationships and connect students to school.
Woods Elementary thrives because of the gracious support from the entire community. From an active Parent Teacher Club (PTC), organized committees of parent volunteers, local business sponsors, and highly trained staff, everyone works together to benefit our students.
