Gale Ranch Middle school, located in San Ramon Valley Unified School District and home of the Gryphons, is a community of learners in every sense. Students are conscientious academic scholars, but also collaborative and empathetic citizens. Staff members care deeply about the students and their well-being while also sharing their passion for their subject matter. Parents and guardians value education, support their children and partner with our staff. Our successes are a direct result of our strong Gryphon community and support from the District. At Gale Ranch, we put SRVUSD's Strategic Directions into action. We understand that deep learning is based on a foundation of equity and social-emotional wellness which provides all students access to excellence and an opportunity to define what success means to them.
We are committed to creating the best possible learning environments where students thrive and succeed because they are safe, included, accepted and supported. Our staff has studied the work of John Hattie and we make a point to focus our efforts on proven strategies with the largest effect size for students. Our current pedagogy is based around collective teacher efficacy, teacher estimates of achievement, restorative practices, and response to intervention. Our 6th through 8th graders come to us at all levels academically and are also exploring many passions as they mature. We support all of our learners within our academic and elective classes and also in their weekly choice tutorial period. We are proud to celebrate our community of kind, hard-working young people.
