John L. Golden Elementary is a home away from home to all members of our collaborative, committed, and compassionate community. We proudly represent the Etiwanda School District, as we exemplify excellence in every area of instruction and student engagement. Since 2002, Golden has been uplifted by close-knit bridges built between our tireless educators and beautifully diverse families.
Golden Stars (our 900+ bright students) are enriched by a vibrant, rigorous, and cooperative learning environment. Every day, each child's curiosity is challenged by a teacher who knows them inside and out. Look out onto Golden hardcourts. Each morning, you will see tens of teachers striding in circles beside hundreds of students, united in our PTA Walking Program. Peer inside Golden classrooms. Here, you will find data-driven instruction. Daily, our teachers design and deliver differentiated small-group activities, such as the guided reading program and interactive STEAM lessons. Sit beside the green and growing "Secret Garden," a passion project funded by our Golden families. Classes regularly stroll over to this peaceful refuge to read a book or marvel at freshly sprouted seeds. No matter where you step, each small piece of our school represents our heart. During the COVID pandemic and school closure, our Golden heart motivated us as educators to go beyond what was required and meet the academic and social and emotional needs of each student.
At Golden, we strive beyond the baseline of proficiency. We prioritize growth. Every day, we aim for each child to leave better than they arrived.
