Windsor Oaks Elementary is a K-5 school located in the heart of Virginia Beach, Virginia. It is home to 480 students and 80 staff members. This year, our theme is "Go for the Gold." The compassionate teachers and staff make Windsor Oaks Elementary a great place to teach and learn. Our staff members focus on building close relationships with students to ensure they feel loved, cared for, and educated in a safe and positive school environment. In our school, adult actions demonstrate our belief that all children can learn and achieve when their social, emotional, and academic needs are met. Each staff member works to help students achieve their goals. We partner with parents and the community to foster a barrier-free environment where all students benefit from the opportunity of high-quality education.

Teachers, assistants, administrators, and support staff take great pride in being continuous learners. We understand the importance of identifying the depth and rigor of each standard. Student data is used to provide professional development and guide instruction. During collaboration sessions, our teachers work together to unpack standards, create aligned assessments, plan highly effective Tier 1 instruction, and develop innovative enrichment and intervention lessons to engage all learners. Classroom teachers and special education teachers are provided with modeled instruction to ensure the success of all students in all subgroups. By working together and being committed to the success of every student, we were able to close learning gaps between subgroups and achieve significant academic growth for all students.
