Vista Hills is home to over 600 students. This campus has been known for its fine arts programs, robotics winning teams, and our STEAM initiatives. Vista Hills serves a diverse community of students and parents. The halls are filled with students work products and smiles. Parents are expected to be part of the process and are invited to participate in our various family events, including Holiday on the Hills.
Team work is a staple of this campus success. Teachers collaborate with a strong PLC practice that include having dialogue around instructional practices. The campus is a model for the district's PLC trainings. The commitment to a targeted first teach has leveraged many honors and recognitions. Teachers are committed to working as a team to support every learner.
We have a one-to-one device program at our school, and every student has their own Chromebook. We utilize online programs such as Imagine Math and Education Galaxy, to name a few. The programs are used during small group instruction to allow teachers to target skills and teach to individual student needs. The teachers at Vista Hills make no excuses and they take responsibility for student growth. Diversity is embraced. This campus has a focus on equity and bringing opportunities for every student, regardless of their economic status or any other labels. We often refer to our campus as being on the TOP of the HILLS. We have tons of Crusader Pride, and it shows in everything that we do.
