Towne Acres Elementary School is 1 of 8 elementary schools in the Johnson City School District. The school has a tradition of academic excellence having been named a Reward School in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Towne Acres also received a Level 5 distinction for academic growth in 2015 and 2019.

Our faculty and staff set high expectations for themselves and for our students. Teachers work collaboratively with their grade level teams and the district's academic coaches to ensure high-quality, rigorous instruction takes place in each classroom every day. Data informs instruction and drives annual school goals. Faculty members foster a growth mindset by engaging in professional development opportunities throughout the school year to continue to learn and grow as educators. Towne Acres has been well represented in our district's Teacher Tech Leader program since its inception, and this expertise has allowed Towne Acres to become a leader in blended learning in our area.

Towne Acres is blessed with a wonderful school community and supportive families. Our PTA and Booster Club organizations work hand in hand with the school to coordinate programs to create a positive learning environment and support the academic needs of our students. Numerous after school programs and activities are available at Towne Acres, and students are able to engage in enrichment activities, intervention programs, and community service organizations to help them become well-rounded students who will make their community proud.
