NBRS Badge for Belle Hall Elementary School
Belle Hall Elementary School - Mt. Pleasant, SC
Students reap healthy snacks for all from the collaborative garden.
Belle Hall Elementary School (BHE) is a traditional suburban school in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina featuring programmatic continuity and healthy, generational home-school relationships. For three decades, BHE has consistently received an "Excellent" school rating and numerous Palmetto Gold and Silver annual distinctions. We are proud of this "exemplary high-performing" status, yet it is the continued "growth" of all our students that focuses our resources and energy deployment. As a school community of staff, families, and stakeholders, we strive to support individual students with targeted interventions and assistance according to Response to Intervention (RtI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) models. Our school-based governorship includes a faculty senate, an energetic PTA board, and a proactive School Improvement Council that benefit from incredible parental involvement and prolific community volunteering. BHE has a history of special education excellence and we deliberately teach our students open acceptance regarding collegiality, inclusivity and diversity.
The reputation of BHE is one of "Rigor and Relationships." Each BHE student is expected to be a "S.T.A.R." daily: S- Stay safe, T- Take Responsibility, A- Act Respectfully, and R- Reach for the Stars! Parents understand that much will be asked of them and their children on the pathway to success, so they partner with the school in support of this collective goal. Our "Learning, A Life-Long Journey" school motto focuses our intense and inclusive common efforts that give our children a foundation in becoming successful middle and high school students as well as fulfilled and contributing citizens.
