The Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School is centrally located in the borough of Hollidaysburg, with approximately 900 students consisting of grades 10-12. The senior high school campus is the hub of the Hollidaysburg community. The school district has an excellent reputation for its academic programs through partnering with the National Math and Science Initiative to provide numerous advanced placement courses. Other course offerings include honors and dual enrollment courses in a wide variety of subject areas. The students also have an opportunity to attend the Greater Altoona Career and Technical Center.
The senior high school has been one-to-one with Chromebook for five years and is a Google for Education Referenced District. Being a one-to-one school, aided heavily in navigating the numerous educational challenges during the pandemic and to help prepare students for college and career readiness. Along with rigorous and vast course offerings, the senior high school has a variety of activities that students can become involved in, designed for all interests to ensure involvement and personal development beyond the classroom.
At the senior high school, we are also very proud to have been recognized for the 10th consecutive year as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the United States by the NAMM Foundation. Our students are also involved in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy through the local Blair County Chamber. We are very proud of our school and the opportunities we provide to our students.
