Pioneer Elementary school would like to welcome you inside our Pioneer Family. Founded in 1917, Pioneer is a rural public school located southwest of Chickasha, Oklahoma, educating approximately 400 preK-8th grade students. We believe in providing a quality education for every student in a changing society, thus equipping students to be successful as individuals in our community, state, and beyond.
The cornerstone of our educational system is building personal relationships with students, providing a loving, safe environment that encourages and fosters learning. Data-driven instruction lays the foundation to accomplish optimal student academic growth, performance, and achievement. Through our commitment to teaching the Oklahoma Academic Standards, the implementation of the Oklahoma State Department of Education's provided frameworks, along with our benchmark testing system, our teachers are provided the information they need to drive instruction and student remediation.
Pioneer provides various opportunities for students to explore individual interests in extracurricular sports, fine arts, and a variety of activities and clubs to foster overall development. Students are taught the importance of character education through the implementation of Great Expectations and the value of patriotism. We also provide opportunities for our students to participate in philanthropy through Thanksgiving food drives, holiday food baskets, nursing home care packages, and any other needs that should arise.
The success of Pioneer School can be attributed to the tireless dedication and hard work of our staff, teachers, students, parents, PTO, Athletic Club, and the help of local churches and businesses that support us. It's who we are, the Pioneer Family.
