Whipple students actively learning!

Whipple students actively learning!

In Perry Local Schools, our motto is "Everything Humanly Possible." Whipple Heights works very hard to make this happen. In order to make "Everything Humanly Possible," the staff dedicate time to build relationships with students and parents/guardians in order to be able to make every student reach their full potential.

Whipple is alive with student learning. Walking through our building you will see the hard work on our walls, from papers that students are proud of to fine works of art. Peek into one of our classrooms and you will hear and see visible thinking in the form of small groups, partner work, integration with special classes, to mention a few. A team approach is used to grow students academically. Students' data is looked at by grade level teams in order to make data-driven decisions that will assist in closing the educational gaps of the students. Meetings are held consistently through the year to support students as they grow into a well-rounded individual.

Whipple's PBIS team meets throughout the year to put systems in place to keep track of students' behaviors. This team works with behavior data to put accommodations in place to positively impact problem behaviors and build relationships with these students. Whipple Heights PBIS has also put in place a Relationship Mapping system in which the teachers make sure that every student has some type of positive interaction or relationship with at least one adult in our building.

Whipple Heights has strong community partnerships devoted to the education and well-being of the students. We work hard to collaborate with different organizations in order to provide what is needed; from school supplies to furniture, we make it happen! When all of this comes together, ultimately we will be able to do "Everything Humanly Possible" for each student at Whipple Heights. With all of the supports in place, we believe that we are doing our best to create a community of lifelong learners.
