Granville High School - Granville, OH
GHS Marching Band pre-game performance
Granville High School (GHS) is located in the quaint, midwestern village of Granville, Ohio. Benefiting from tremendous community commitment to education, a world-class staff, and hard-working students, the high school excels on all metrics of performance. Consistently earning high marks on the Ohio state report card for schools, the high school also garners accolades from organizations such as the College Board and ACT.
More than data and test scores, GHS teachers utilize effective formative assessment strategies to understand the pulse of student learning in the classroom. Project-based learning opportunities are embedded throughout the curriculum, including the development and ongoing use of the Granville Schools Land Lab. The recent development of our Portrait of a Graduate competencies align with skills acquired through both traditional and project-based instruction. GHS teachers are innovative in their approach to education utilizing online platforms, virtual lab experiences, and other forms of technology to aid students in the present and to prepare them for the future.
Outside of the classroom, approximately 90% of GHS students are involved in at least one school-based extracurricular activity. The Granville Blue Aces athletic and academic teams are highly competitive at the local, district, and state levels. The same is true for fine arts groups, including both the visual and performing arts. GHS students display an incredible amount of dedication and work ethic in order to arrive at these successes.
