P.S. 310 Aiming High

Nestled in Borough Park, a neighborhood in the southern part of Brooklyn NY, Public School 310 is home to approximately 500 students. Founded in 2010, PS 310 has made a name for itself as a school where students are supported and valued, and that promotes a high level of academic achievement. Our school is committed to the belief that every child has a genius and is a leader. Our staff is provided with ongoing and consistent professional development to ensure we implement the most current and effective research-based practices that develop the whole child.

With English language learners making up over half of the student population, language development plays a critical role in their success. Students are provided with a rich variety of resources that supports their ability to read, write, listen, and speak in a variety of languages, including English, Chinese, and Spanish. Cultural diversity and integration play a critical role in providing our students with an educational experience that is inclusive and engaging. Students take foreign language classes as it is an integral part of the curriculum. Students learn to speak Chinese or Spanish and take a deep dive into exploring the language, culture, and history of China and Spanish-speaking countries such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guatemala.

We foster independent thinkers who have the ability to stand up for their needs and fight for what's right. Students participate in the student council and use their voice, through speeches, to advocate for the solution of community and global issues such as pollution, racial injustice, and the destruction of animal habitats. Students set and track their own academic and personal goals and can communicate these goals during the student-led parent-teacher conferences held twice per school year. Our school assists students in becoming critical, lifelong learners. At PS 310, The School for Future Leaders, students lead, learn and grow!
