Green Meadow students start the annual Color Run!

Green Meadow is a neighborhood elementary school in the East Greenbush Central School District that has been educating children since 1955. The school serves approximately 400 students in grades K-5 from the towns of East Greenbush and Schodack in New York State. Guided by the school motto, "It's All in the Attitude," students and staff approach each day with optimism and excitement!

Green Meadow excels at creating a school for academic excellence, and an atmosphere where virtues are fostered, character counts, and all persons are welcomed and valued. The school's success is related to the partnership among students, staff, parents, and community members. This unique combination leads to individual growth for all students.

It is through engagement such as a strong character education program, a running club to encourage health and fitness, enrichment activities to cultivate new interests, social-emotional support to address diverse needs, and the daily student broadcast show that students learn and thrive. At Green Meadow, students learn in a fun and supportive environment. They participate in many inclusive fun events: spirit days, the annual color run, the apple race, and field day are among a few of the favorites. It is the reason Green Meadow is such a great place to learn and achieve both academically and socially.
