"It's a great day to be a Jaguar!" This mantra echoes through the halls of Torey J. Sabatini Elementary School (TJS) each morning, welcoming students to school. TJS is a small, vibrant, neighborhood school located in the heart of Madison, New Jersey. As a school community, we value the positive relationships built over time between parents, students, and staff. We strive to maintain strong, lasting connections with families and the larger community. to help each student develop socially and emotionally, and to create meaningful learning experiences. Students enjoy countless school activities, such as Trivia Nights, Teacher Outings, Awesome Art, the Great Kindness Challenge, Cultural Arts Assemblies, and enrichment activities that are offered throughout the year.
Academically, TJS students have access to a rich, well-rounded educational experience that includes real-world, 21st Century learning experiences through field trips, hands-on activities, and the use of our STEAM laboratory. Our teachers set high expectations for their students and work together to ensure that students develop a love of learning. Teachers also value their own continuous improvement and the school's learning communities ensure ongoing innovation. At the heart of the work is the principle that staff members must take the time to get to know each child and differentiate instruction based on individual needs.
At TJS, strong relationships and a positive school culture help us live up to our mantra all year long. We learn together and grow together in order to make every day, "A great day to be a Jaguar!"
