At North End School we strive to educate the whole child: academically, emotionally, physically, socially, and culturally. Working together, our school community supports one another as we help our students develop and reach their full potential. This community approach is central and essential to what makes our school such a special place. By welcoming and integrating the whole community into our close-knit student, staff, and involved parent community, we have built a strong foundation of supportive relationships augmenting each child's differentiated academic journey. Our active Family & School Association (FSA) and community-sponsored activities, assemblies, and service projects enhance our rigorous academic program, promoting leadership, school spirit, volunteerism, and respect for the individual while instilling valuable life lessons.
A strong bond among the faculty, support staff, and parents has provided the foundation to make North End School a model of educational excellence, as well as to establish and maintain a positive school climate that supports the academic, social and emotional growth of all of our students.
Within North End School creativity and imagination is nurtured and students are provided with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to think critically, respect themselves and others, and become lifelong learners. Cooperative learning activities and child-centered problem-solving routines are incorporated into the school day. Students are encouraged to explore, question, make decisions, and express opinions in a supportive learning environment. Preparing our students for the future by focusing on each child's academic, social, and emotional needs is what we do best at North End School.
