NBRS Badge for Wilson's Creek 5-6 Intermediate School

Wilson's Creek 5-6 Intermediate School - Battlefield, MO

Wilson

Wilson's Creek students work together daily to problem solve.

Made up of 5th and 6th graders, Wilson's Creek Intermediate School (known as 'The Creek') is located in Springfield, Missouri, the largest school district in our state. Our school is made up of both experienced staff, who have been utilizing best practices since its inception, and beginning staff, who bring with them fresh new ideas. Growth mindset permeates throughout the whole school community. The Wilson's Creek school community is known as a learning environment that loves to celebrate learning, both in character and academics.

Through the development of our P.R.I.D.E. character traits 'The Creek' empowers the school community to grow both socially and academically. We do this by teaching all to be Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Determined, Empathetic individuals. Most importantly, we have created an environment for all to feel emotionally and physically safe.

Collective efficacy is the foundation of our effectiveness at 'The Creek'. We realize we cannot meet all needs on our own; we need each other. Therefore, we hold the collective belief that as we grow as Warm-Demanders, students will be successful. We are dedicated to building positive relationships with our students and we hold high expectations for all. Each individual in our school community is encouraged to identify their own "strength" so as to effectively contribute to the learning success of everyone. Utilizing all our talents, we can become a dynamic team to service and support every student every day.
