Webber Elementary School is a neighborhood school surrounded by nature trails and a woodsy landscape. We pride ourselves in meeting the needs of all our students every day. The Positivity Project has been one area of focus in our school community for the past two years. This program allows us to teach and promote good citizenship and positive character traits. This focus has allowed us to concentrate on giving back to each other and the community. There are many opportunities throughout the school year for students, staff, and parents to support our school community and many local charities.
Using a structed data collection system allows us to review student progress quarterly. This information allows us to put plans in place for any student who is not making adequate gains in a particular area. We work hard to meet both the emotional and academic needs of all our students. If a student is not making adequate gains, we put in a tiered system of interventions and supports to ensure appropriate growth. The Webber staff is continually engaging in professional development to increase the effectiveness of their instruction and interventions. We are always looking for ways to improve what we do in our classrooms and our school community. We see very strong academic and emotional growth from our students, and we celebrate this every step of the way!
