Alaiedon Elementary School - Mason, MI

An exemplary learning community begins with building a team.

An exemplary learning community begins with building a team.

We're Alaiedon! We have some fun. We treat each other with kindness. We learn a ton. Today we lead, and we succeed. We are Mason Bulldogs, yes indeed. Everyone here in this school can feel it, everyone knows it is true. We're here to Learn, Lead, Succeed at Alaiedon. We do our best. This is always our mission. We learn new things everyday, and we've just begun. That's what makes us Alaiedon!

These words from our school song describe the culture that permeates throughout our building. Our dedicated staff sustain a strong commitment and belief in the collective efficacy for the success of all of our students every day. We teach, but more importantly we know WHY we teach, and, knowing WHY we teach makes all the difference. There are three highlights to recognize that have contributed over time to our success. First and foremost, our staff has implemented a Multi-Tiered System of Supports, which we call WIN (What I Need) time to address the varied needs of our learners. Secondly, our district partnered with community businesses and was fortunate to fully invest in one-to-one technology for all. Finally, robust curriculums are carefully selected and implemented with fidelity. Alaiedon supports the growth and achievement of all of its students by providing an exemplary learning community.
