Heath Elementary students collaborating on a social studies project.
Heath Elementary School, located in West Paducah, Kentucky, provides top-notch learning to students in Preschool through 5th grade. Our school is centered around building and nurturing student-staff relationships. As principal Laine Cooper says, "Our students want to come to school when they know they are cared about. And when they want to come to school, they meet or exceed expectations."
In our school, you will see our students learning through student collaboration, questioning, and hands-on learning. Students may be creating code for a mini robot, "tasting" books during a "book bakery," exploring non-literal language through Idiom Day, or plotting points on a giant coordinate plan to create a quadrilateral so it can be classified based on its shape and properties.
Our school has a family culture and we all pull together so we can meet or exceed common goals. Our main goal is to foster character-building education, leadership, and academic success within all of our students. Additionally, we value the importance of celebrating our students' successes throughout the entire school year. A common phrase used among our students, staff, and parents is, "H.E.S. is the best!" and we are thrilled that the pride of our school is a beacon in the Heath community.
