NBRS Badge for Roosevelt Elementary School
Roosevelt Elementary School - Hays, KS
Celebrating our new playground equipment
Roosevelt Elementary school is in the Northwest Kansas community of Hays. Roosevelt is a school where students learn and grow academically and social-emotionally. Our students learn compassion through working with friends of all academic and physical ability levels. Through this daily interaction and acceptance of all, students realize friends who might be different from them in some ways are the same in other ways. Through project-based learning, flexible seating, and differentiation, students are engaged in a learning environment that best suits them.
Family engagement is essential at Roosevelt, and family values are a part of our everyday routines. Roosevelt families and the surrounding community members are necessary pieces of the puzzle, making Roosevelt Elementary an excellent place for students, staff, and families to learn and grow together. It truly does take a village to nurture student achievement.
Roosevelt Elementary School follows the four core values of our district, where we believe in providing a quality learning experience for every student every day throughout our school district and community. Core value number one is to be a champion for all kids. Core value number two is to bring your best every day. Our school district's third core value is carrying the banner for our school and the school district. The final core value our school community emphasizes is to sell possibilities and opportunities to students for their future. Our end goal is that all Roosevelt Roadrunners know they are loved, influential, and capable.
