With unmitigated hope, Prosser Career Academy welcomes students from all over Chicago. In the wake of Remote Learning, we are capitalizing on all we have learned about teaching and learning, in particular what we have learned about ourselves as educators and, most importantly, what we have learned about our students, their lived experiences and their unbridled potential and drive.

We believe our students will positively impact their communities, so we provide opportunities for them to exercise their voice and practice civic leadership. Our collective goal is to ensure students have access to dynamic classroom instruction, support in their learning and space to grow as individuals, who are critical thinkers with the skills to handle a wide range of ideas, emotions and circumstances.

Our students are whole people, so our approach to teaching and learning is holistic. As a career and technical education academy, our students explore vocational pathways that prepare them to enter the workforce upon graduation. Concurrently, we provide students with a college preparatory experience in order to meet our goal that Prosser students will have choices about how they live their postsecondary lives. Thus, we continue to foster learning environments that enable progress no matter the obstacle; we remain focused on providing students with the physical, emotional, and intellectual safety they need to practice, grow, learn, and succeed. This includes facing race and equity issues when we realize them and dismantling barriers so our students are free to be successful, proud, productive, and hopeful about their future.
