The true culture of Lincoln is better experienced than described in prose. There is an undeniable energy in the building. It is felt through students' interactions with staff and with each other. It is found in the support and opportunity offered for students and parents. It is evident in the staff commitment to knowing and supporting students. It is Lion Pride!
The Lincoln community has a strong sense of pride and tradition with many students' parents being alumni of the school. Lincoln's staff is committed to the development of each individual student, and they value the opportunities provided for each student's curiosity and emotional needs. With commitment to academic achievement and curricular exploration through an expansive elective program, students are able to develop their unique interests as learners and as individuals. Lincoln's commitment is to relationships and opportunities, and the students gain a true sense of self and a connection to the larger community.
Lincoln provides extra-curricular offerings that are student-driven and interest-based, and the school recognizes the importance of service learning towards building an awareness of supporting others. Student leadership opportunities are widely available and strongly encouraged. Offering various learning opportunities for parents, Lincoln most recently partnered with Maine Stay Youth and Family Services and Rush Medical Center to provide an opportunity to engage with educational staff and social work professionals on the challenges of this pandemic year.
Academic exploration, social awareness, and student involvement are foundations in being a Lincoln student, and the entire school prides itself on supporting these endeavors.
