Hinsdale Central High School is a traditional American suburban school located just outside Chicago. We have a tradition of academic excellence with a rich history of success in athletics and activities. Throughout our history we have been recognized for our excellence, but a recognition that makes us most honored is our designation as a State and National School of Character. As a State School of Character in 2017 and 2018 and a National School of Character in 2018, Hinsdale Central prides itself on meeting the social and emotional needs of our students as well as developing students who are responsible for the choices and decisions they make.

Our program of studies provides students with opportunities to explore their ideal future, while also preparing them for college, career, and citizenship. Our students also have the opportunity to select from 27 different Advanced Placement courses as well as challenging college courses to earn dual credit. Each year, we maintain an exceptional annual graduation rate with over 90% of our students attending colleges and universities across the country. In addition to our strong academic offerings, Hinsdale Central High School students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities: 33 varsity sports and almost 100 clubs/activities. These extra-curricular activities help provide our students with new perspectives, while also helping to improve their already strong community.
