Bleckley County High School (BCHS), located in Cochran, GA, is a small school that seeks to make a large impact on all students. BCHS;s faculty and staff attempt to develop the whole student. Our focus is on developing our students into good moms, dads, husbands, wives, members of our community, and a strong workforce. Our students must be equipped and willing to compete in the classroom, on the field of athletic competition, and in Fine Arts through the various clubs in which our students have an opportunity to be involved. BCHS's students have received many awards and accolades at local, region, state, and national competitions. Many of our students graduate from BCHS with the skills necessary for college, career, or military opportunities which include associate degrees, technical certificates, and other credentials of value.
The success BCHS has enjoyed can be attributed to many factors. We have an excellent working relationship with all stakeholders including: local businesses, colleges, and technical schools to aid in the development of our students. Our sister schools, unified by the district's motto of "Expect Excellence," lay a foundation that encourages our students to excel in high school. We have a supportive Board of Education and district leadership that keep what is best for students at the forefront of their decision-making processes. Last but not least, we enjoy the support of our most important stakeholders, parents and community members, who partner with us, making BCHS an outstanding place for teachers to teach and students to learn.
