Learning at West Point Middle School is student-centered, participatory and experientially oriented. To support 21st-century teaching and learning, our learning environments are flexible, integrated and adaptable to diverse activities. This community approach means students learn and work collaboratively so that all students receive a top-notch experience.
We use data to determine each student's current academic level. We then design targeted interventions to grow and strengthen that individual. This makes our school unique.
Our teachers are dedicated to focused collaboration and our Journey to Excellence. West Point Middle School educators use common practices among its teams to support learning objectives. Grade level teams co-develop learning plans, which translates into similar academic expectations across the grade. We have built a community of teaching and learning through respect, trust and collaboration among our educators. We see the results of this dedication reflected in student data, but also in their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative growth.
