In a spirit of continual growth, PCY is committed to providing a dynamic learning experience built on curiosity and integrity for all students. We deliver rigorous and relevant instruction through collaboration and sharing best practices and nurture a climate of care and inclusivity for all.
PCY staff and students are a big happy family where every member cares about the health and well-being of their family members and supports their academic, social, and emotional growth. At PCY, student success is not solely dependent on academic achievement. Understanding and appreciating their roles and responsibilities as caring community members, relating and empathizing with peers, and learning and growing from mistakes are key aspects of success.
We are committed to preparing our students for the 21st century by ensuring all students are proficient in technology and model responsible behavior as citizens. PCY is a common-sense media school, and we pride ourselves on raising students who use social media appropriately and responsibly.
With the generous support of the La Canada Educational Foundation, our students enjoy smaller class sizes, a comprehensive arts program, physical education daily, and time in our Tech Lab and Library each week. Our PTA supports students and teachers in the classroom and on the playground, delivering programs that support our students' character development and social and emotional health. In addition, our community partners provide student programs that develop and enrich our students' diverse backgrounds. The PCY community strives to make each day a memorable and rewarding experience for our students.
