Oak Park High School is a medium sized comprehensive high school serving students from Oak Park and the surrounding areas. Our District of Choice program enables students from other school districts to enroll without requiring a release from their own district of residence. Our school is an incredibly cohesive and collaborative environment where our core values emphasize the health and wellness of our staff with a strong commitment to the school's environmental health and safety as a National Green Schools Award recipient.
Our more recent efforts to improve our students' health have focused on successful initiatives to address student stress, sleep, and academic integrity with extensive peer counseling and Safe Schools ambassador programs. Complementing our stellar academic program of college prep and honors courses and award winning Visual and Performing Arts programs, OPHS received the California Department of Education's "Exemplary Distinction Award 2019" for our CTE programs and pathways. Blessed with a seasoned and vested faculty, we were able to very successfully transition to a robust and rigorous Distance Learning program with one-to-one devices provided to each student. The quality of strategic instructional and technical support leading into and throughout the pandemic as well as the commitment and innovative approaches to delivering online instruction was what really made the difference for our students. The collegiality of our staff and support from our tech leads for our teachers and students was inspirational and further exemplified our staff's commitment to our students and each other.
