Burton Valley Elementary School could be mistaken for a beautiful park filled with rolling green hills, luscious trees and vegetation, surrounded by open space and playgrounds. The setting is serene and gorgeous; conducive to a productive learning environment.
Burton Valley strives to educate the whole child with its multitude of programs offered to augment the standards-based curriculum in the classroom. Our education foundation; Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE) funds docents that teach our students art, music, and science weekly. LPIE also funds our library specialists and PE specialists to add to our incredible school experience.
Burton Valley's dedication and priority given equally to the social emotional health and academic growth of our students has been guided by our tiered approach to supporting students. Our special education program at Burton Valley is unmatched and rivaled by none. These teams of educators helped mold our school into the inclusive community of learners that honor, appreciate, and motivate each other to be their best selves every day.
We focus on the positive and build an inclusive school community where everyone finds a place to belong. Focusing on positive behavior and kindness has helped use Burton Valley's diversity to bring us together rather than break us apart. Because of our unity, we are able to move forward with the understanding that we are a safe place to learn and each member will be greeted with kindness, love, and allyship each and every day at Burton Valley Elementary School.
