Saint Simon Parish School - "Strong Minds, Compassionate Hearts"
Saint Simon Parish School is rooted in tradition and infused with a spirit of innovation arising from its roots in the heart of Silicon Valley. Saint Simon is committed to educating the whole child in a nurturing, student-centered atmosphere. Supported by the framework of Catholic values, the school fosters each student's spiritual, intellectual, emotional, moral, social, and physical growth. As a school and as a community, Saint Simon Parish School is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and preparing students to make a difference.
The school provides a comprehensive curriculum rich in challenging academics and enhanced with extracurricular activities including athletics, robotics, community service, and the arts. The students are encouraged to try new things, pursue their interests, and hone their talents. Students can start the day in band and end their evening in a volleyball match.
All aspects of the school day encourage teamwork and responsibility. Every grade has a job providing service to the school community. The students also work together to make lunches for the homeless, write letters to military service personnel and patients at local retirement communities, and gather supplies for local charities. Saint Simon strives to provide students with the environment needed to become children who embrace the school-wide learning expectations embodied in the acronym SAINTS: Spiritual, Academically Prepared, Inquisitive, Neighborly, Trustworthy, and Strong. Saint Simon Parish School's strength lies in the collaboration of teachers and parents in nurturing children with strong minds and compassionate hearts.
