Panther Creek (PCE) is a small community school located in Nettie, WV. Community involvement is a big part of why PCE is great. Volunteers come to the school to read to the students. Our firefighters come and teach our students about fire/home safety. School events, such as class basketball games, are open to our community and they really adore watching the kids play. Several businesses have given time/donations to our school to help with various activities. Having a positive partnership with a community has allowed PCE to share our academic success.

PCE's school climate is the heart of the school. Teachers, students, and parents feel safe and valued at the school. The school is neat and clean and that shows that we have high standards to maintain a healthy school environment. The teachers, cooks, aides, custodians, and the principal beam with personality when talking to and interacting with the students. Each hallway is littered with artwork that shows off our students' talents. Lastly, safety is our number one concern. Parents want to know that their child is safe with us. PCE has a very effective safety plan in place to ensure that all students have a safe place to learn without worries.

The curriculum is an imperative part of a successful school. PCE uses well-researched resources to prepare our students for the future. Students are constantly assessed and provided with immediate feedback. PCE teachers believe that their students need to be fully engaged and active learners.
