Maple Dale School is a spirited community that is dedicated to unlocking the potential of all who learn there. Our vision is based on finding the best that lies in each of us and fostering learning experiences that help our students recognize and grow those strengths. We believe in supporting the whole child in a variety of ways. We continually learn new approaches to teaching and learning that build confidence, grow intellect, and strengthen character.
Our families get involved in helping create events for our students that allow them to apply their classwork in unique ways. Some of these include Culture Night, Maple Dale Musical, Camp Manitowish, and Washington DC field trips. Our families represent a great variety of cultures, and we look to celebrate our differences to better understand our commonalities. Our students learn that all members of our learning community have value and voice.
Our faculty believe collaboration is the key to academic success for all of our students. They face challenges as a team. They are the first learners in the school and use research-based instructional techniques proven to be effective such as Universal Design for Learning, effective intervention, STEAM instruction, and targeted data analysis. We look to maximize our time with our students and communicate regularly with families in order to build a partnership of success. We strive to be more effective and take time to celebrate when we overcome challenges. We partner with our neighboring school districts to create learning opportunities and align our curriculum to better prepare our students for further success in high school.
The Maple Dale Dragons possess a strong fire for learning. Our school is dedicated to growing that love of learning in ways that will serve us for a lifetime and build the love of learning in others. It is an honor to be named a National Blue Ribbon School. We would like this honor to represent our dedication and effort put forth at our school every day.
