Schoolwide Celebration of Veterans' Day

Our school culture is one that supports all aspects of students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Relationships among our staff are best compared to a close-knit family. We have grown together over the years both personally and professionally, which has developed trusting and supportive relationships. We our especially proud of our SchoolWide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) program that focuses on Keys to Success. Staff, students, and parents work together to teach, encourage, and demonstrate positive behaviors in all areas of our school, so children can thrive in a structured, safe, and educational environment.

Students are provided opportunities to be leaders, build their confidence, self-esteem, learn accountability, and perseverance. Educational experiences are provided to students that promote critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and collaboration. Aspects of technology are integrated in everyday teaching to help students excel in a digital world. Contributing to our school's success has been the identification and awareness of students that require additional supports to meet their diverse needs in an effort to close any achievement gaps. A growth mindset is encouraged by helping students set personal goals and celebrating their growth.

Of great importance to our school is building trusting relationships with families. Unique efforts to connect with our families have included the implementation of an Open Door Project and Welcome to Kindergarten home visits. Various parent engagement opportunities are provided throughout the year to encourage communication focusing on student success. As a result, parents feel heard and are valued as equal partners in their child's education. All of this and more makes B.F. Morey Elementary a great place to learn and achieve!
