Nestled in a college town surrounded by preserved farmland and protected forests, Kutztown Area High School (KAHS) is the product of a community committed to education, hard work, and service. With the support of a strong, loyal alumni base, Kutztown's faculty strives to nurture the whole student, offering all students academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities.

In 2004, KAHS was one of the earliest Apple one-to-one platforms in Pennsylvania. This program not only improved educational equity across the district, but also ignited school-wide innovation. KAHS implemented a student-centered curriculum focused on developing strong literacy, communication, computational, and problem-solving skills. Daily, students engage in learning flexibility, cultural competence, collaboration, and creativity.

Despite its size, Kutztown offers students a variety of Advanced Placement and dual enrollment opportunities, whether pursuing professional or trade careers. Students are encouraged to pursue extracurricular interests. It is not uncommon for an honor student to milk cows after playing a field hockey game, for a student to walk into school juggling an art portfolio and baseball equipment bag, or to see a soccer player running to musical rehearsal. Kutztown students not only pursue a variety of interests, but they strive for excellence. KAHS students have achieved regional, state, and national recognition in National History Day, Science Olympiad, Odyssey of the Mind, FFA, National Association for Music Education Music Ensembles, and interscholastic athletics. Kutztown is committed to building relationships and offering personalized learning opportunities so that every student is prepared to contribute to his/her local and global communities after graduation.
