Smiling faces at West Boulevard Elementary School

West Boulevard Elementary School is the largest elementary school within the Boardman Local Schools, serving 450 students in grades kindergarten through third. Service to our community and students, collaboration with all stakeholders, and a supportive and open working relationship are what fosters the positive school culture that allows our students to receive the best education possible.

Understanding each student's current level of performance, monitoring and adjusting instruction and interventions, and working with the family unit allows for a smooth transition from the school setting to home and vise versa. The open two-way communication between the teacher and the parents/caregivers is imperative for all stakeholders to understand the expectations for success. West Blvd. Elementary School staff and community exemplifies the TEAM approach.

The idea of the whole student resonates throughout everything done at West Blvd. Utilizing community support systems for mental health and social needs, partnering with organizations that help support the family unit, and providing resources to students and families for assistance cultivates our theme: "I AM IMPORTANT." We believe everyone is important and has something to offer in a friendship and/or a partnership. Understanding this simple concept nurtures respect, kindness, and a caring and loving school community.
